Matt- Please put us down. Knowing your place at Caesar's Head, the trails, falls, etc., it w/b great. I personally could use at this point a lower-key event that reaffirms why I took up the sport to begin with and what I continue to seek from it: good fellowship, outstanding views, soft single-track trails, and an event to challenge one's own limitations. Reserve a place for us on the porch. BTW, does Jay know a crowd is decending? David and Patti Kirk

Matt,

You can probably count me in. Sorry, Umstead didn't go as planned. Don't beat yourself up. There are always other races and better days. I received a big dose of keeping things in perspective last weekend, as well. I fractured my left great toe while training on the Shut-In Ridge trail. However, if all goes well, I should be back in-shape for your fun runs! Take care.

Matt, we're planning on being there. Since we will have a large party (lots of kids) we will probably camp at Ceasers Head SP.

Course "cutoffs" extended
Authored by: mkirk on Tuesday, April 12 2005 @ 01:01 PM PDT
I ran the loop clockwise yesterday and decided to extend the "cutoffs" to be a little more generous to those looking to really enjoy one loop. I think sub 6 hours is a fair challenge for most people to meet who want to run consecutive marathons. I ran 5:45 after a preview in summer temperatures, running out of water at 13 miles, spending long breaks showering under waterfalls and lots of walking. So I think most people should be able to go sub six, there may be a sub-6 award in order...

Matt
Count me in for the first two runs. I'll be there Friday afternoon and would like either porch/woodshed/barn/tent space; whichever you have left.

Thanks. Doug

Hey Matt,
I would like to play next sat. Please put me down for the first run, if it is not full. I won't get up there until sat. morning, since I will probably be working a bit late on friday. Looking forward to a new run. See you sat.
