Mason-Dixon Traverse to Raise Funds for ALS Research

Hunt Bartine and Loren Thomas are going to be traversing 190 miles of the Mason -Dixon Trail Labor Day weekend to raise funds and awareness for ALS. Here is a web page with further information. This looks like a great adventure. If any one is interested in participating, providing support, or donating funds to aid ALS research, contact Hunt.

Note: TrailDog50 is going to be posting updates on this run all weekend long. Check back frequently. -- Mike

Plans are shaping up for the scheduled friday 7 am
start of the Mason Dixon traverse, from Chadds Ford
Pa. The plan also includes, on-line evening updates of
the progress. Loren Thomas has already done a yeomans
job with planning, equipment and supplies, but it
looks now as if his running participation will be
limited. The ALS Association will be issueing a
press release, soon. The scheduled start at Chadds
Ford Pa, is still for 7AM friday, and it looks as if
several others will be joining for parts of the 1st
40+ mile day, and/or helping with logistics. Day 2
and 3 from east of Havre De grace to and up the
western side of the Susquehanna , are still a bit
problematic from a logistics/support standpoint(
considering access to supplied water and stores ), and
ANYONE wanting to join or meet, or drop items at ANY
point during those segments will be very appreciated.
